About

A small town girl from a Syracuse suburb (GO CUSE!!). There’s lots of snow. Graduated from HS in 2006 and drove 45 minutes south to SUNY Cortland for College. In college, I competed on XC & T&F for four years, which included competing at the national meet (’08 & ’09), MVP in ’08, a couple good track races. College was rough on me as an athlete, but through all tough times come good things. I learned a lot about my determination and myself (go figure, doesn’t everyone?). In 2010, I graduated with a degree in Exercise Science and a published undergraduate thesis on Barefoot vs Shod running. Probably the coolest accomplishment thus far.

After undergrad I moved another 45 minutes south to Ithaca College for a Master’s Program in Human Performance. Coached with the w’s XC & T& F teams there for two years, struggled with running and life in general for two years. In 2012, I joined the XC and T&F coaching staff at Cornell University and am heading into my second year with those women. Finally finished my Master’s that in 2013!

After my third stress fracture I picked up Triathlon. It’s my current love affair. Currently, I’m training for Long Course Triathlons  and have already completed numerous 70.3s, the 2014 Ironman Lake Placid and the 2015 Ironman Mont-Tremblant. Also, I’m the apparel buyer and event & employee manager at our local running & tri store. Finally feel like Ithaca is ‘home’ and finally enjoying racing and living again.

Ultimately, I am: Born Runner. Aspiring Triathlete. Yoga Enthusiast. Coffee Addict.
